Blacklists of numbers to block

Version v.3.10.47 introduces blacklists of numbers to block in live traffic. The blacklists are managed in Switch Adapter module.

You can configure a list of CLIs or dialled numbers to block in live routing. The list may consist of full numbers (e.g. 4420123456789) or dial codes followed by an asterisk (e.g. 44201* to block all numbers starting with 44201).

You can combine full numbers and dial codes in a single list.

The are two types of blacklists in Control Centre:
CLI blacklists – to block phone calls by the calling number (A-number)
Dialled number blacklist – to block phone calls by the dialled number (B-number)

The blacklists are configurable by uploading text files (txt or csv) with a list of numbers and/or dial codes to block. Mind that the file you upload always overwrites the previously configured list. The file you upload must contain all numbers you wish to block.
If you want to only modify the previously configured list, it is recommended to download from the ‘Blacklist files’ screen the file uploaded previously, make the desired changes (remove/add numbers) and upload the file again.

TIP: To clear the blacklist in the system, upload an empty file.

When uploading the file, the system will request you to select whether the file is a CLI or Dialled number blacklist.

A sample file:
4420*
446849845416
446548456234
44987987*
446841231545

Uploading the file above will effectively block 3 full numbers: 446849845416, 446548456234, 446841231545 and additionally all numbers starting with 4420 and 44987987

Since a csv format is accepted for upload, the system would also accept e.g. the following content:
4420*
446849845416,446548456234
44987987*,446841231545

The blacklists are used by the NRS (Novatel Routing Server) which checks the A-Number and B-Number or the phone call as one of the initial operations when routing the call.

When you view Explain routing information from Phone Calls screen in Money for a blocked call, you will see the the information why the call was blocked.
